what can i say? it was really fun! I think we checked out every single 'interesting' store in the mall! And we also played a game called 'spot ppl from tino'. I think Anna and I win coz we saw ppl we actually kind of know (even though susan saw some guys we kinda know too), as opposed to ppl we've seen at school but don't know.

Mmmmm Jumba Juice! It had a very funny song on the cup. I just remember the part where it goes '...10 crazy carrots....12 kissing kiwies...' Yea, that was their variation of a christmas carol =]

My parents went shopping too. They went to Santana Row and later told me that it's decorated real nice there, so I'll probably go see it with them soon. Also we might get a christmas tree..this weekend! How exciting! Though it's kinda early.

I'm sorry not all of you were there =[ Especially sorry for Victoria since she had to go to a lesson!~!

Oh and Susan, you are quite innocent i suppose (check this out everybody: she didn't know what Playboy is!!). Hmmm, you never told me why you were running away that time! Now I know ;)

wow victoria you are fast...it took me 8 hours to do bio yesterday...

ah...not having to think about school or bio or SATs for 5 whole hours is SUCH a bliss. i'm telling you there's absolutely no equivalent. ;-)

for those of you who were there today here's a brief recap of what happened-

in the morning ('cause i forgot to call anna :-/ SORRY!) we got there half an hour late. we spent some time looking for kate once we were there (we agreed to meet in the kitchenware department in macy's) and saw waaaay too much kitchenware.

there was a lot of people there and the first shop we bought something from was the CANDY SHOP! i actually bought some fruit flavored methols and we ate that. then we went around and had some fun picking out presents for those of you who weren't there ;-) good stuff. since victoria wasn't there kate got "glittered". it was pretty funny since anna kept pinching kate's cheek and telling her how cute she looked and kate's got that "if-i-clench-my-teeth-anymore-they're-going-to-shatter" look. lusine and i were laughing about that alot. we had an interesting visit in some stores and i discovered how really "innocent" i was- atleast compared to anna and kate. when kate was laughing about this toy in the disney store that was "poseable" or something i winced and hid behind lusine.

we stopped by at jamba juice and mcdonalds for lunch. kate got a drink from starbucks before hand and anna munched on popcorn. we had this ...interesting...experience with the elevator because it's see-through on 3 sides so kate and lusine pressed themselves again the wall and pretended to scream on the way down. i was laughing so much i missed the handle on the side that i wanted to lean on and nearly fell.

it was really fun and i wished that all of you guys could've been there but if that happened we wouldn't be able to buy presents for some of you so it's all good. it was definitely worth waiting for.

*thinks about school* anyone want to arrange another get-together for winter break?

Haha, the math story was funny, Kate! My classroom is the one next to yours, and today while we were taking our test, we hear this really loud voice that VERY slowwwly yells out:
"WHO--ELSE--WANTS--A--WORK--SHEET?"
And that's when our class burst out laughing and mr saint john said "and that's actuallly Geometry enriched, imagine how slowly she has to talk for the people in the lower math clases!" And we laughed some more and then your teacher actually came in and asked if any of us wanted the worksheet. She looked happy, I guess she was in a good mood today.

Trust me, mr bean is not scary! He is a very funny guy! Sort of like a modern Charly Chaplin (you do know who that is, right??). He usually doesn't talk in his little movies. Lately he's been playing in movies such as "rat race" or "johnny english" but not as mr bean.

We definietly need to get together (we as in as many ppl from the blog as can come) and watch mr bean episodes. Believe moi, you will love it ;]

Veteran's Day -some thoughts about it

i am a pacifist, sort of. i'm antiwar and based on the current situations, i'm slightly against the military as well. however i don't think it's the soldiers fault since many are misinformed and didn't know what they are getting into. others thinks they are serving their country, and i respect them for that. they are just doing what they think is right.

so i think it one of the greatest tragedy that so many chose to shun the vietnam (sp?) veterans. i am sure when they entered the war they entered with people cheering. the government knows what they are getting into, they do not. they are just obeying the rules, carrying out actions for their country.

in other words. i don't hate the soldiers- i hate the person who declared war. *ahem*

I like that first one of the community service choices. But I have a question, Princess said the other day that if you're gonna do something with the elderly, you have to pass a medical inspection or something. is that true? because if it is I'd rather work with kids..

about the injections- i started the whole thing by saying that it seems as though this year someone injected class spirit into me.. Anna liked the idea and tried to "inject happiness" into me later.

Anna's "happiness injections" didn't help me much today (she gave a lot of them though) =/ sighz, we lost the game (by 3 pts) but i don't care much about that. the spirit week results were...yup, you've guessed it-

It was really funny in art! I had to cover my mout real tight and close my eyes and try to ignore susan's giggling in order not to embarass myself completely. But i "payed her back", yes i did! I found this picture of a plucked chicken (or an eagel) somewhere in the second half of the book. for those of you with an apush book, go look at pg 395, it will make your day =] or maybe it won't, but it's still funny!

it was really funny in art today. i was studying for history because i barely skimmed the chapter during the weekend and then i read lusine's notes that she printed out (thanx lusine!) and saw the thing that said "fletcher vs. peck" as a case. i showed it to lusine and both started laughin and what made it funnier was we had presentation from art school today and the person was showing slides so we can't be making noises. it didn't help that lusine was already pre-hysterical (a product of pe with kate, i think) so we were laughing silently. it was great.

here's some amusing happenings from yesterday in my life:
I'm in a store (IKEA), and this tall 30-32 year old guy (who reminded me of Kobe Briants a bit) comes up and is about to talk to me. I stare. He says: "Where did you get that shirt? My daughter is a spongebob fan" It seemed so funny, I seriously almost laughed but managed to say "Target" in a squeaky voice. And then in another store a very small boy (2-4 years old) kept staring at my shirt and saying "Spongebob" and then i caught him whispering something to his sister (also very little) and pointing at me. Um yea, when little kids stare at you, it is NOT a pleasant experience...I hid behind some counters...
In other news: I boughts SAT II books to study for the tests which I am taking on Dec 6. Also Kate and me made arrangements for our *double funerals* anyone else joining perhaps?

Behold, Kate and me had to do this today during PE (and not just do it but also watch our teacher do it very enthusiastically *shudder*). And the title of my post refers to an example of song lyrics which we were dancing to -_- In some twisted, confusing way it was fun (maybe because it made both of us hysterical!!) I got to dance with 20 guys in 25 min or less (more than once with some). You do the math ;)

The only amusing fact I read in my APUSH book-
Tomas Jefferson and John Adams both died on the same day and that day happened to be 4th of July, 1826.
How amazing!! for those of you free from this wonderful class, Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence (*wink* july 4*wink*), and Adams was the second President. Um, this is pretty common-knowledge, so maybe all of you knew this. whatever, I'm going back to reading (the joy!).

weirdess contest

I realized that everyone is entering a weirdness contest which so happens to be in a blog called fantastic weirdness. How fitting. If I really wanted to weird anyone out right now I can just go on about how much fun studying (yes I said the word "studying") is and how very very wonderful our junior year is. That’s enough to weird out most people- to the point having choking hazards.

Victoria asked me "what’s up" and I said "squirrels and rubber bands" soniya and kate probably know what I’m talking about. It sounds funny though. My printer knows I appreciate it for refusing to print at ten o’ clock in the night and doing things such as freezing my computer for the 4th time in a row. Which is why I will not declare my affection for it any longer.

Have you ever wondered about how sad a printer's life is? I am looking at one right now, it's jaw dropped because it can't believe that someone actually cares enough to write about it. so back to my point- printers sit on your desk all day long, forever outshined by the gorgeous computer next to it. they aren't even turned on most of the time and spend the majority of their life in semi-dead fase.

People forget to clean the dust off of printers because they don't even look at them mostly. and in the rare cases when they are actually used, the potential user is in a great hurry because the paper being printed is probably due pretttty soon. so next time you happen to look your printer in the eye (er..if you can find the eye), be kind enough as to smile and let it know you care (even if you don't).

Pain

uhhh, my feet hurt! which is a nice change coz lately only my brain hurt =) I was selling ice-cream for three hours in the memorial park today (kateryna and me sold almost 100, and i also got a chance to do crazy dances with malvina!), and then for like an equally long time i played tennis. RESULTS: no studying whatsoever!! aargh, i am such a procrastinator. *badbadbadgirl* sigh, and now i will go to sleep.

p.p.s. going back to the terminal velocity. I think that we will eventually reach it, but it's gonna take such a long time that it will feel as though we will go on forever and ever.

My house smells funny. They're not done putting in the new hardwood floors. They left the suface sanded with no varnish or anything on top. So now it's fun to run around slide in the living room wearing socks. I think that's awesome =) BUT the only thing funner than sanded floors in my house is TAPE.
