i am a pacifist, sort of. i'm antiwar and based on the current situations, i'm slightly against the military as well. however i don't think it's the soldiers fault since many are misinformed and didn't know what they are getting into. others thinks they are serving their country, and i respect them for that. they are just doing what they think is right.
so i think it one of the greatest tragedy that so many chose to shun the vietnam (sp?) veterans. i am sure when they entered the war they entered with people cheering. the government knows what they are getting into, they do not. they are just obeying the rules, carrying out actions for their country.
in other words. i don't hate the soldiers- i hate the person who declared war. *ahem*
