Yeah that was.. an interesting strategy. Although potentially what he might have been going for was to simply indicate to the church that he was willing to pretend to agree with them.
There was a reference to blind watching on pg. 89, sorry :P
Also this made me lol "Index Librorum Prohibitorum, which listed books that contained ideas so dangerous that merely reading about them would imperil a person's immortal soul.
Yeah, our immortal souls seem to be easily imperiled. You probably could sneeze on one (a soul) and it'll be condemned for eternity.
